PURPOSE: An auxiliary muffler for restricting exhaust noise is provided to reduce noise by modifying the section, to improve the engine output by decreasing exhaust resistance with forming the round section and holes in a middle pipe, and to prevent degradation by lowering temperature of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary muffler(1) is composed of an inlet pipe(2) having the wide end for flowing exhaust gas in; an intermediate pipe(3) connected and inserted to the rear end of the inlet pipe; an outlet pipe(4) inserted to the rear end of the intermediate pipe and expanded in the rear end; and a sound absorbing member(5) covering pipes. The auxiliary muffler is installed in the middle of a tail pipe in the rear part of a main muffler to reduce noise of exhaust gas. Exhaust resistance is reduced with forming the round section in the pipe and holes in the intermediate pipe. Expenses and noise are reduced with modifying the section of the pipe.
