PURPOSE: A back light unit is provided to prevent light from leaking through a space between neighboring light guides to improve picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A back light unit includes a light guide, at least two light sources(36), and a reflecting plate(38). The light guide is split into at least two blocks(101,102,103). The light sources irradiate light to the blocks, respectively. The reflecting plate is formed between the blocks to block diffusion of light between the blocks. The light guide is, preferably, split into three. The reflecting plate is formed of aluminum. The reflecting plate is attached to the light guide using epoxy. Each of the light sources includes a red LED for emitting red light, a green LED for emitting green light, and a blue LED for emitting blue light. |
