PURPOSE: An MFCD(Multi Format Compact Disc) reproducing/recording system by DSP(Digital Signal Processing) is provided to construct a CD-ROM, CD-ROM encoder, and a decoder and an encoder in the one-chip structure for processing sound source data by software instead of hardware structure, thereby reproducing or recording various sound source data. CONSTITUTION: An MFCD reproducing/recording system by DSP includes a CD-read/write element(100) for reading/writing predetermined coded sound source data recorded to tracks of a CD, a servo controller(200) for controlling the position, direction, and rotation speed of the reading/writing via the CD-read/write element when the CD is rotating, a CD decoder/encoder(300) for analyzing the format of the sound source data read by the CD-read/write element, correcting errors, or encoding to sound source data to be recordable to the MFCD, a DSP chip(400) decoding the sound source data output from the CD decoder/encoder into the corresponding format while converting to digital signals, or into the format recordable to the CD, a D/A converter(500) for converting the decoded sound source data to analog signals, and an A/D converter(600) for converting the audio signals input via an external sound source input terminal to digital signals to be processed by the DSP chip.
