EMERGENCY SITUATION SENSING SYSTEM OF ESCALATOR

PURPOSE: An emergency situation sensing system of an escalator is provided to simplify the configuration of the system and reduce costs for installation and maintenance by significantly reducing the number of control lines for electrically connecting the escalator to the control station. CONSTITUTION: An emergency situation sensing system comprises a safety switch unit(9) having a plurality of safety switches connected in parallel with each other; an escalator internal circuit(10) including a relay unit(11) having a plurality of relays connected in parallel with each other in such a manner that the relays correspond to safety switches, and a data output unit(12) for outputting data regarding the operating state of the relay unit; and a control station(20) including a data input unit(21) for converting the safety switch operating data input from the data output unit, a data processing unit(22) for processing the data input from the data input unit, and a main computer(23) for receiving the data processed by the data processing unit and judging the emergency situation of the escalator.
