IN-LINE SURGE FILTER DEVICE

PURPOSE: An in-line surge filter device is provided to connect an in line surge protection unit with an external side of a communication terminal unit linked to a line, so as to allow the in line surge protection unit to cut off a high voltage and transient surge voltage and allow a surge protection circuit built in the communication terminal unit to cut off residual surge. CONSTITUTION: An in-line surge filter(100) includes an input terminal and a ground terminal connected to a tip terminal and a ring terminal of a subscriber line, and cuts off surge flowing in the subscriber line. A communication terminal unit(200) connected to an output terminal of the in line surge filter(100) provides an interface of signals of the subscriber line. A computer(220) grounded to the earth and connecting a frame to the ground terminal of the in line surge filter(100) processes signals of the communication terminal unit(200). At least one telephone set(240) connects with the in line surge filter(100) on the subscriber line in parallel. And splitters(230) connected between the telephone set(240) and the subscriber line applies audible band signals of the subscriber line to the telephone set(240), and cuts off RF(Radio Frequency) signals generated in the telephone set(240) not to be applied to the subscriber line.
