PURPOSE: A device for converting a usable capacity of a cellular phone battery into time is provided to calculate the usable capacity as time, and to display the calculated time on a character/number display, then to give an alarm sound, voice, or melody to a user, thereby enabling the user to use a cellular phone with confidence. CONSTITUTION: A display displays a capacity of a cellular phone battery(2) as time. The battery(2) receives power from a cellular phone. A battery voltage measurer(3) measures a present voltage of the battery(2) every one second. A current consumption measurer(4) measures a current consumed during cellular phone operation, and measures the maximum current consumed for one second while standing by a constant call or while making the constant call. An MCS(5) inputs measured values of the battery voltage measurer(3) and the current consumption measurer(4), and calculates/stores a usable battery capacity as time. The usable battery time is inputted, and displayed on a character/number display. A user selects one of a voice selector(8), a melody selector(9), and an alarm selector(10), and designates an operation time and a selection sound in a voice delivery unit(7). The voice delivery unit(7) operates the selection sound at the designated time.
