PURPOSE: A free phone service system using a wireless phone and a method for controlling the same are provided to interlink a fixed device of the wireless phone with a computer having a built-in free phone program, so that the payment of call charges is not necessary. CONSTITUTION: Wireless phones(10,30,60,70) include portable devices(11,31,63,73) and fixed devices(11,33,61,71). The portable devices(11,31,63,73) perform wireless communication with fixed devices(11,33,61,71) and include keys for requesting a free phone service. The fixed devices(11,33,61,71) perform wireless communication with the portable devices(11,31,63,73), include keys for requesting a free phone service. Also, the fixed devices(11,33,61,71) have computer interfaces for interfacing with computers(20,50), to switch a mode to a free phone service mode upon the request of the free call and perform the free phone service through the computers(20,50). And the computers(20,50) connected to multiple wireless phones and an Internet network(40) execute built-in phone connection programs and phone programs, when the free phone service is requested from a specific wireless phone or a wireless phone connected to another computer in a remote place through the Internet network(40). Accordingly, the computers(20,50) directly connect with the receiving wireless phones, or connect with wireless phones connected to the other computer through the Internet network(40) or the wireless phone of a wired/wireless network(80) connected to the Internet network(40), thereby performing the free phone service.
