The present invention provides a process for producing an acidic beverage comprising incorporating into the acidic beverage a substance effective for inhibiting the proliferation of acidophilic bacteria, such as an aqueous extract of grape seeds and the like; an acidic beverage obtained by the process wherein the proliferation of acidophilic bacteria is inhibited; and an acidophilic bacteria proliferation inhibitor to be used in acidic beverages comprising, as an active component, the above-mentioned substance effective for inhibiting the proliferation of acidophilic bacteria. |
