PURPOSE: Menthol-containing salt and a production method thereof are provided. The menthol-containing salt has the antibacterial activity and the taste peculiar to salt and simultaneously the taste and flavor peculiar to menthol. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the menthol-containing salt comprises the steps of: pulverizing natural menthol with a pulverizer and filtering it with a sieve of 100 to 200 mesh; pulverizing salt with a pulverizer and filtering it a sieve of 10 to 200 mesh; and mixing 1 to 10 parts by weight of the menthol powder with 100 parts by weight of salt powder with agitation, wherein peppermint oil may be sprayed into the mixture of salt and menthol powder; and cordyceps may be added into the mixture of salt and menthol powder.
