POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT OF PROJECTOR

PURPOSE: A power supply circuit of a projector is provided to decrease stand-by power so as to reduce power consumption of the projector. CONSTITUTION: A power supply circuit of a projector includes a filtering and rectifying unit(1), a switching mode power supply unit(3), a power-factor compensation unit(2), and stabilizer(4). The filtering and rectifying unit receives AC power, filters and rectifies the AC power to output DC voltage. The switching mode power supply unit accepts the DC voltage from the filtering and rectifying unit to provide power to each part of the projector. The power-factor compensation unit receives the DC voltage of the filtering and rectifying unit through a switch that is opened when a lamp is not operated to compensate for power factor of the received voltage. The stabilizer accepts the output voltage of the power-factor compensation unit to drive the lamp of the projector.
