PURPOSE: A device for preventing injury to neck of a headrest for a vehicle is provided to prevent injury of passenger's neck by making the headrest moved forward and upward and increasing the width of the headrest. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing injury to neck of a headrest for a vehicle comprises support rod guides(11) formed on guide bars(12) formed at the upper end of a seat frame; a guide panel(13) connected to the seat back frame; and a suspension(15). The support rod guide slides back and forth along the guide bar. The guide panel has elongated hole type guide holes(13a) having wider width in the front side. In the suspension, both sides are connected to the support rod guide by a compression spring(14) and the support rod guide is inserted in a groove(15a), and pin units(15b) are inserted in through holes(16a) of frame brackets(16) formed on both sides of the seat back frame. Accordingly, a headrest support member of the upper part of the support rod guide is increased longitudinally and the width of the headrest is increased. Thus, passenger's head is safely supported.
