PURPOSE: A solar battery using a ferroelectric material is provided to maximize a passivation effect and an anti-reflection effect of a surface by forming a ferroelectric layer. CONSTITUTION: The second conductive type semiconductor layer(11) is formed on a front face of a semiconductor substrate(10). A ferroelectric layer(13) is formed on the second conductive type semiconductor layer(11). A polling electrode(14) is formed on the ferroelectric layer(13). The second conductive type semiconductor layer(15) is formed on a rear face of the semiconductor substrate(10). A surface oxide layer(16) is formed on the second conductive type semiconductor layer(15). A plurality of grooves(17a,17b) are formed on the front and the rear faces of the semiconductor substrate(10). A plurality of heavy doped regions(18a,18b) are formed on each inner wall of the grooves(17a,17b). A front electrode(19a) and a rear electrode(19b) are formed by filling a conductive material into the grooves(17a,17b).
