PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost saturable reactor, capable of supplying a biased magnetic field efficiently and having a low leakage magnetic field from magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION: The S-pole of a first magnet 11 is brought into contact with a core 1, and the N-pole of a second magnet 12 is brought into contact with a core 3. A closed magnetic member 14 magnetically connects the N-pole of the magnet 11 to the S-pole of the magnet 12 to form a closed magnetic circuit. The member 14 is made of a magnetic steel sheet, such as a silicon steel plate for example and has spring elasticity. Similarly, magnets 22 and 21 are provided for the cores 2 and 4, respectively, and a closed magnetic member 24 is provided for the magnets 22 and 21.
