PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing vacuum compression of a scroll compressor is provided to prevent a suction pressure area from being excessively vacuous. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes a casing(1) divided into a suction pressure area(S2) and a discharge pressure area(S1); a rotary scroll(6) placed on a frame fixed in the casing and rotated by a driving motor; a fixed scroll(10) joined to the rotary scroll to form a plurality of compression chambers successively moving, forming a discharge hole(12) fluidically connecting the high pressure side compression chamber with the discharge pressure area and having a bypass hole(13) penetratingly formed to fluidically connecting the discharge pressure area with the suction pressure area; a valve housing(9A) fixed on the fixed scroll to receive the discharge hole; a check valve(9B) joined to an inside of the valve housing to open and close the discharge hole so as to prevent compressed gas in the discharge pressure area from flowing back to the compression chambers; a bypass valve(20) installed to the fixed scroll to open and close the bypass hole and opening to guide part of compressed gas in the discharge pressure area to the suction pressure area when the check valve is closed; and an interlocking member(30) having one end joined to the check valve and the other end joined to the bypass valve to open and close the bypass valve according to the movement of the check valve.
