PURPOSE: A method for carrying out the dehydration stroke of a washing machine is provided to protect a washing motor and reduce the draining error by performing draining step if a residual water amount generated by dehydration is higher than a predetermined amount. CONSTITUTION: A method for carrying out the dehydration stroke of a washing machine includes the steps of dehydrating clothing by rotating a washing tub by driving a washing motor after draining water to a drain-finish position(S2-S4), determining whether water generated by the dehydration of the clothing increases up to a water-full position by a water level sensor(S5), and turning off the washing motor to stop the hydrating stroke and carrying out draining for a predetermined time if so. |
