The present invention relates to a means for the simple and environmentally friendly removal of, for example, paint, varnish, adhesive and rubber from objects without a negative effect on the environment, and which significantly increases the applicability of the means and in particular its stability at higher temperatures. The means in accordance with the invention contains N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone with the addition of a product of the reaction between an aliphatic amine and an alkaline salt of unsaturated fatty acids and water and/or aliphatic alcohols.
