<p>The magnetic separator of non-ferromagnetic metal objects has a conveyor belt (2) with drive and driven rollers (5,6), and a variable magnetic field generated by multiple poles (7) of e.g. electromagnets. A drum (8) rotating in roller (6) houses the poles, and travels at relatively higher speed than the belt, which also has vertical guides controlling its non-horizontality. The metal objects are carried in different directions as a function of their size and conductivity.</p> |
