A multiple layer polymer film, comprising (i) a first layer, comprising a blend of an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer; linear low density polyethylene, a second ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, and slip; (ii) a second layer, comprising ethylene vinyl acetate; (iii) a third layer, comprising vinylidene chloride methyl acrylate, which is disposed between the first and second layers; (iv) a fourth layer, which is the same as the first layer and is adhered to the first layer on the surface opposite the third layer; and (v) a fifth layer, comprising a blend of linear low density polyethylene and low density polyethylene, which is adhered to the second layer on the surface opposite the third layer. Each first and second layer has two surfaces. Also described is a bag made from the above multiple layer polymeric film.
