PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt member provided with a meandering preventing part for preventing meandering and oblique advancing at the time of traveling and preventing damage and the deviation of an image due to the oblique advancing, and also to provide a fixing device using the belt member as a fixing belt and preventing the damage and the deviation of the image due to the oblique advancing. SOLUTION: This belt member 200 is constituted of an endless belt type base substance 201, an elastic layer 202 formed on the surface of the substance 201, and a mold-released layer 203 formed on the surface of the layer 202, and is provided with the meandering preventing part 204 made of the same material as the layer 202 on the outside of the substance 201 at both ends of the layer 202. The fixing device uses the belt member 200 as the fixing belt, and the fixing belt is laid over a plurality of rollers. The fixing device is equipped with a pressure member oppositely press-contacting with the fixing belt, and has a guide for the meandering preventing part of the fixing belt at both ends of the pressure member. |
