PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device capable of preventing a brightness unevenness from occurring between segments over a long term from the start of use. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device comprises a plurality of segments 10 or the like including a substrate 11, an anode 12 laminated thereon, an organic light emitting layer 13 laminated thereon, and a cathode 14 laminated thereon; and a setting means 45 for setting initial brightness of segments driven relatively more frequently brighter than that of segments driven relatively less frequently.
