PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment by which transmission/reception picture data is transferred to be easily retrieved in terminal equipment in a transfer destination. SOLUTION: A composite unit 1 transfers the whole pages of transmission/ reception picture data to a first terminal unit PC1 and also transfers the specified pages (first and second pages) of transmission/reception picture data to a second terminal unit PC2. In other words, transmission/reception picture data to be transferred to the second terminal unit PC2 is restricted. Then in the second terminal unit PC2 being the transfer destination with a small amount of transmission/reception picture data, desired transmission/reception picture data is easily retrieved based on a cover which is the first page and the second page which is the leading page of a text. Thus, transmission/reception picture data is transferred to be easily retrieved in the second terminal unit PC2 which is the transfer destination. Besides, the desired page is retrieved from the whole pages of the data by the first terminal unit PC1 by easy retrieval.
