PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management system which manages the history of a data file without depending upon individual application programs as a file management system which manages a data file and individual application programs associated with the data file. SOLUTION: The file management system is characterized by that a file management program has a procedure for managing the histories of individual data files.
