PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital audio recording and reproducing device, in which an audio CD can be monitored parallel while ripping that audio CD. SOLUTION: Audio data read out of a CD drive are written on a hard disk 6 more speedily than an audio reproducing rate, and these written audio data are read out more speedily than the audio reproducing rate and outputted to an audio output interface (buffer memory). The audio output interface reads out these audio data at the reproducing rate. Since the hard disk 6 enables read/write sufficiently more speedily than the reproducing rate of the audio data, the audio data can be monitored while being ripped.
