PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for real time recording/storing reproduced information, a method and device for real time recording and reproducing and a file operating method using this information. SOLUTION: Real time recording/reproducing attributes are imparted to real time files by storing the real time recorded/reproduced information for assuring the real time recording/reproducing in file control information regions or in the respective files or in the separate files. As a result, the files subjected to real time recording can be continuously reproduced without interruption. The formation of the files imparted with the real time recording/reproducing attributes, the expansion of the data regions and recording and reproducing are made possible.
