PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk by which the contamination of an arm for handling a cap is prevented. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a placing-on process step of placing the cap 40 at approximately the central part of a deposition substrate 10' by handling a projection 43 for handling of the cap 40 having an umbrella section 41 one surface of which is the projecting surface and the projection 43 for handling disposed to project from the center of the projecting surface of the umbrella section 41, a dropping process step of dropping a liquid material on the projecting surface of the umbrella section 41 and a spin coating process step of applying the liquid material to the surface of the deposition substrate 10' by integrally rotating the deposition substrate 10' and the cap 40. As a result, the adhesion of the liquid material to be applied to the arm for handling the cap 40 does not occur.
