PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify wiring to each active speaker. SOLUTION: The speaker system including a plurality of channels of active speakers 1, 2 is provided with a cable 3 containing a signal line and a power line interconnecting the active speakers and an interface means that is provided to each active speaker and receives a packet of a digital audio signal addressed to itself supplied from the cable and builds again up into the original audio signal. The cable is in compliance with the IEEE 1394 standard, and the operation of each means is conducted in compliance with the IEEE 1394 standard. |
