PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for processing a medical image by which jump and reduction of gradation are suppressed even when a plurality of pieces of image data obtained by a medical diagnostic instrument are recorded in one sheet of film. SOLUTION: At least the medical diagnostic instrument 1 is connected to a laser imager apparatus 5 via a DICOM network 6. The medical diagnostic instrument 1 is provided with a means for inserting LUT information which specifies a first LUT to be referred to for the gradation converting processing of image data to image data. The laser imager apparatus 5 is provided with at least a means for receiving image data and LUT information and obtaining the first LUT from the LUT information, a means for obtaining a second LUT to be referred to for the gradation conversion on each film, a means for compositing the first LUT with the second LUT to generate a composite LUT, a means for performing the gradation converting by referring to the composite LUT with respect to each frame and a means for arranging a plurality of frames of image data in the film and exposing them to a laser beam. |
