PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can utilize voice uttered by a user so as to detect a direction of the face of the user. SOLUTION: Microphone amplifiers 2L, 2R amplify sound signal of voice collected by microphones 1L, 1R placed at a prescribed position and uttered by a prescribed sound source, generate processing sound signals L, R and supply them to a detector 3. The detector 3 respectively calculates sound pressures L, R of the processing sound signals L, R and also calculates a sound pressure ratio (= sound pressure R/sound pressure L). The detector 3 detects a direction of the sound source corresponding to the calculated sound pressure ratio on the basis of data denoting a cross-reference between the sound pressure ratio and the direction of the sound source possessed by itself. |
