PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus preventing image staining caused by the back flow of adhesive toner and preventing abnormal sound or noise from a cleaning roller 14. SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus having the cleaning roller 14 for removing the toner adhering to at least either of a pair of rotating bodies (fixing roller 10 and pressure roller 20) in a fixing device permanently fixing a toner image on the transfer material by heating and pressurizing by inserting transfer material on which an unifixed toner image is put in a fixing nip part between a pair of rotating bodies, the transfer material is made to pass through the fixing nip part by the fixed number of sheets, and then the rotating body is idly rotated at image formation performable temperature, and further cleaning paper is automatically made to pass through the fixing nip part, whereby the toner adhering to the roller 14 is recovered. |
