The invention relates to an apparatus (1) reforming a gas flow, of the type consisting of a indirect heat exchange region (5) for the reforming (conversion) reaction of a gas flow consisting of methane and steam into CO, CO 2 and H 2. The apparatus is characterized by that it advantageously comprises several floatings head pipes which contain a catalyst for the conversion reaction, a chamber (9) for collecting the reaction products, said chamber being positioned downstream the pipes (6) and a duct (15) open in said chamber (9), for extracting the reaction products from the apparatus. According to the invention, the reforming apparatus is reliable, simple from a structural point of view, easy to be built and allows the methane conversion with a low energy consumption and low operation and maintenance costs. |
