The rod-shaped elements clamp, particularly furniture pipes provides a simple and quick method of linking elements that can be taken to pieces, this means elements, where one dimension, the length, is extremely larger than any other one. This applies particularly to various profile elements like furniture pipes. According to the invention the problem is solved by a clamp, which holds at least two expansion elements, each of them attached to its own pipe-shaped element. The joint between each expansion element and clamp results from the principle of interaction between two facing wedges, which by mutual approaching increase their common transverse dimension. This way it is possible by applying relatively little force, which pushes the two wedges together, to generate a large transverse - splitting force, which in the case of the clamp according to the invention presses together the connected elements. A friction force is produced between them preventing any movement of the specified objects. The clamp according to the invention is used particularly in the furniture industry for linking assemblies, which support furniture surface elements.
|
