PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of a water film on the surface of a formed water adjusting layer (a water repellent layer) in a fuel cell and stabilize the output of the fuel cell. SOLUTION: In an air electrode 13 of the fuel cell, an intermediate layer 16 is installed between the formed water adjusting layer (the water repellent layer) 17 and a reaction layer 15. The intermediate layer has a water repellent material and a hydrophilic material, and concentration gradient is formed in the water repellent material so that the concentration of the water repellent material is gradually decreased from the formed water adjusting layer to the reaction layer. |
