PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the control relation between genes by a computer from gene expression quantity data and gene arrangement data. SOLUTION: A mutual correlation function for two arbitrarily selected genes is obtained from gene expression quantity time sequence data, and the two genes and the time lag are recorded in the case that a null hypothesis is abandoned by no-correlation examination, and these procedures are performed till all the pairs of genes are selected. Thereafter, a later expression genes in the time lag of many genes is recorded for each earlier expression gene, and the recorded earlier expression gene and the later expression gene are assumed to have the control relation. Further, the recorded earlier expression gene and later expression gene are collated with a transfer factor and a gene which has many consensus control arrangements of the transfer factor in the upper arrangement, and they are recorded and are assumed to have the control relation in the case of coincidence.
