PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center device, a terminal and a map data distribution system, by which map data processed in accordance with a time zone can be distributed. SOLUTION: This system is composed of a map database 1 for storing map data, a traffic control center 3 for managing regulation and congestion information, a communication means 4 for exchanging data with the terminal, a weather information server 5 for managing weather information, a time zone setting means 6 for setting a data mode to the terminal corresponding to the time zone, a display mode setting means 7 for setting the display mode of the map to be displayed, a route server 8 for managing sightseeing guide information and a center server 2 for controlling the respective components of the center device. In the center server 2, in accordance with the weather information obtained from the weather information server 5 and the data mode in the time zone obtained from the mode setting means 6, the background color of the map is selected and the map data to be transmitted are extracted from the map database 1 and transmitted to the terminal. |
