PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of easily setting the cross-sectional shape of the edge of a metallic plate member to specified accuracy and obtaining excellent cleaning performance even in the case of using the metallic plate member as a cleaning member. SOLUTION: In this cleaning device for cleaning the surface of a rotating body by making the cleaning member abut on the surface of a rotating body, the cleaning member consists of the metallic thin plate member, which is constituted so that its cross-sectional shape in the thickness direction of the edge abutting on the surface of the rotating body may be formed to be recessed.
