PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device of a display device, capable of manufacturing a display device of a large image screen by using thin glass. SOLUTION: After positioning a grid 20 to either one plate of a face plate 2 for forming a phosphor layer 6 and a rear plate 1 provided with an electron emitting element 8 for exciting the phosphor layer, the grid is attracted by magnetic force of a magnet 36 from the reverse side of one plate, and is temporarily fixed to one plate. The face plate and the rear plate are mutually jointed thereafter.
