PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a load applied to an inverter from increasing even if a battery voltage is high. SOLUTION: This device comprises a motor-driven machine; a battery 43; the inverter 29 that generates a phase current by receiving a DC current from the battery 43 and supplies this phase current to the machine; a battery voltage detecting means that detects the battery voltage; and a motor-driven machine torque limiting and processing means that determines whether or not the battery voltage is higher than a threshold and, if affirmative, limits the torque of the machine. If the battery voltage becomes higher than the threshold value, the torque of the machine is limited so that the increase of the load applied to the inverter 29 can be prevented.
