PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia computer system which can improve the display quality of a picture. SOLUTION: The computer system having a CPU 1, a memory 2, a keyboard 3, a mouse 4, an external storage device 6, and a liquid crystal display device 8 is provided with a picture correcting means which corrects a picture signal by using LUT, a user setting means which sets moving picture reproduction conditions according to an operator's indication, a feature detecting means which detects features of the picture, frame by frame, and a correction value updating means which updates a correction value of a picture correcting means with the values from the user setting means and feature extracting means. The correction value updating means updates data of the LUT by using correction pattern data that the user setting means selects out of pieces of correction pattern data and also updates the data of the LUT in frame units by using the luminance mean value of the picture found in frame units by the feature detecting means.
