METHOD FOR GENERATING HTML FILE, WORK FLOW SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM CONCERNED WITH THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for automatically generating an HTML file of an electronic document for displaying only a necessary item in accordance with the existence of a data input to a display condition defined in each item or the item at the time of preparing the electronic document. SOLUTION: In the case of converting an electronic document into an HTML file, only an item required to be displayed is extracted from items defined in the electronic document by a data file outputted by a condition or an XML format defined at the time of preparing the electronic document. An HTML file for displaying only the extracted item is generated as an input picture. When a fixed interval or more is spaced because a space between items does not display an item at the time of displaying the extracted item, a space between the items is closed so as to be set up to a fixed interval. The layout of the electronic document can be changed by closing the space between the items and the whole size of the document can be reduced.
