PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align an array of a plurality of pixel electrodes in a unit pixel with the direction of signal line arrangement without complicating the wiring layouts of scanning lines and signal lines, while keeping the scanning lines and the signal lines in the same direction as those in the conventional arrangement on an active matrix board. SOLUTION: A 1st layer including the scanning lines 13 and the signal lines 14 and a 2nd layer including pixel electrodes 12r, 12g, 12b are made individual from each other, and each pixel electrode is electrically connected with the drain electrode of a TFT 15 corresponding to the pixel electrode via a contact hole 17 extending in the direction of crossing the 1st layer plane across the 1st and 2nd layers.
