PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional network for realizing complicated functions, such as real time transmission, in which a user itself has had to grasp all information and has had to transmit a command for requesting distribution of a program to devices connected to the network, because the devices connected to the network cannot always utilize their functions, even if many of the devices are connected to the same network. SOLUTION: An information commonality device is placed between devices for distributing programs and devices for receiving programs, the information commonality device collects information of programs supplied by a program distribution device and provides the information to the devices for receiving programs, so as to allow the devices for receiving programs to collectively select the programs provided on the network, a control structure between the information commonality device and the devices for receiving the programs is unified so as to surely utilize functions of other devices connected to the network, even when the user has not grasped information of each device in detail, in an environment where a plurality of different devices exist.
