PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DRAW type optical recording medium which performs recording and reproducing to record a high-density information by using a blue laser of 405 nm in laser wavelength λ, making an objective lens NA as great as 0.85 to reduce the laser spot diameter and irradiating the recording medium with the laser beam from the surface opposite to that heretofore. SOLUTION: The DRAW type optical disk which is capable of well performing recording and reproducing even with a system of performing recording and reproducing by making the laser beam incident from a cover side layer is developed by disposing a reflection layer consisting of a low melting metallic material on a synthetic resin substrate which is manufactured by injection molding and is provided with guide grooves of a depth 3 λ/8, disposing a recording layer essentially consisting of an organic dye which is changed in properties by absorbing a laser beam below 500 nm in wavelength on the reflection layer and further disposing a protective layer on the recording layer and disposing a cover layer on the protective layer.
