PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for accurately answering the date of delivery of a product in a short time by automatically inquiring of a material supply source about materials needed for the product and then eliminating the need for adjusting operation by a person in charge of material supply. SOLUTION: A data input/output part (104) on a server (101) receives a request to order the product from a client (115). A production management part (103) obtains supply information on the materials, a supply data generation part (105) generates supply data, and until the supply data are all satisfied, the supply source is set according to the priority of the supply source in a supply source list managed by a supply source list management part (111). The supply data are divided by a supply data division adjustment part (110) when necessary and delivery date answer systems (117 to 119) at the supply source are inquired of about the date of delivery in order. After the supply source of the material is determined, a delivery date answer part (102) on the server (101) answers the date of delivery of the product to the client (115).
