PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label for manganese battery in which the peel-off of an overlap section can be prevented without adversely affecting the battery and which has excellent impact resistance. SOLUTION: This label for the manganese battery has at least a label base material, an adhesive layer and a printing layer and it is characterize in that the label base material consists of a biaxially stretched non-hot shrinkable plastic film having a thickness below 30μm and the adhesive layer consists of a low-temperature type thermosensitive adhesive having an adhesion initialization temperature of 60 to 80 deg.C. In the label base material consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate film, the 180 deg.C peeling strength of the label for the manganese battery described above is preferably 0.5 to 5.0 N under the conditions for the stainless steel sheet of a peeling velocity 200 mm/minute and a width of 15 mm and 1.5 to 8.0 N under the conditions for the polyethylene terephthalate film of a peeling velocity 200 mm/minute and a width of 15 mm.
