PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display data on a laterally elongated displays screen without damaging operability. SOLUTION: In a folding type portable terminal in which a first housing 10A provided with a displaying part 12A on a front face part and a second housing 20A provided with an operating part 22A on a front face part are constructed in a foldable way, the connection ends of the first housing 10A and the second housing 20A are formed obliquely with respect to a lateral face, the connection ends are connected with a hinge connecting part 30A, and thus, the position relation between the housings 10A and 20A is of a dog leg shape when the first and second housings 10A and 20A are opened.
