METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING RECORDING POSITION DEVIATION IN DVD-R AND DVD-RW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that data cannot have normally been recorded when the data are recorded at an interrupted position on a DVD(digital versatile disc) after recording of some data is once interrupted during recording of the some data in the recordable DVD such as a DVD-RW and a DVD-R. SOLUTION: By comparing an LPP(Land Prepit) signal being address information of the DVD with the timing of SYNC data and measuring a position deviation on a track, the SYNC data included in a recording signal are extended or decreased by a prescribed length depending on a direction of the deviation when the positional deviation amount is a prescribed value or over.
