PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the volumetric efficiency of a brushless motor used as a driving source for equipment. SOLUTION: The brushless motor is provided with a rotor having a magnet body which is alternately magnetized in north pole and in south pole in the direction of rotation; and a core 3 provided with a plurality of salient poles 5 which are opposed to the magnet in the radial direction, form magnetic circuits, and have coils 4 wound thereon. A plurality of small teeth 6 with the pitch substantially equivalent to two poles of the magnet are formed on the portions of the salient poles opposite the magnet, and the rotor is rotationally driven by energizing the coils according to the position of the rotor. Thus, the volumetric efficiently of the brushless motor is significantly enhanced. |
