PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a brightness gradient problem occurring in one-side driving of a matrix type display panel, and the problems of increase in the number of ICs and power consumption at the time of both-side driving. SOLUTION: A matrix type phosphor display panel driven by a field discharge type electron source has an array substrate 11 having a plurality of scanning line wiring 12 and a plurality of signal line wiring orthogonal thereto on the front surface side and formed with a field discharge type electron source for the display pixels defined by each cross point of these scanning line wiring 12 and signal line wiring and a counter substrate 27, and the individual substrates 11, 27 hold a predetermined gap and are made vacuum between them, and a plurality of back surface wiring 23 are arranged to be connected with the scanning line wiring 12 at both end parts on the back surface side of the array substrate 11. |
