A tap comprising a body having a liquid flow passageway between a liquid inlet (10) and a liquid outlet (12) and an air flow passageway between an air inlet (13) and an air outlet (10). A valve system including a valve seat (24) is provided for controlling liquid and air flow in the passageways which is operated by a push button (16). When the air inlet (not shown) and liquid outlet (not shown) are coincident, the valve seat (not shown) may be at or adjacent the liquid outlet (not shown). When the air outlet (10) and liquid inlet (10) are coincident, the valve seat (24) may be at the liquid inlet (10).
