A film roll changer for a stretch film wrapping device provides rolls of fil m on a turntable. The changer moves into position beneath a roller carriage assembl y, lifts a carrier plate to remove a spent roll, rotates a now roll into place, inserts the fil m into the roller carriage, pulls out an end of the film. The changer then closes the carriage assembly and transfers the film end to the wrapping device.
